Not anymore. Those who are allergic to peanuts complain about "peanut dust" and now airlines serve pretzels and crackers.

Bologna on planes, too?? Actually, Southwest Airlines still serves peanuts. One time, I was mad because they didn't pass out peanuts, and I was one of those riding-alone little kids, so they gave me a whole huge bag of them. I was in heaven. Oh, and Kay, I usually do take pills before flying. But I don't want to have to resort to drugs to do things like that. It's a quick and simple solution that I don't really agree with. I do just as well without them.

Ah, my sister gets nuts without those pills and my mom won't even sit next to her if they were to travel together. So however way you cope, kudos.

I'm pretty much the same way most of the time. I'm working on changing it. Focusing, meditating, relaxing. Whatever. I need to beat this before I go to Italy next year. Although I'm sure I'll get used to it after 8 hours. How old is your sister?

28? She's never liked flying. Something about it's not natural. She's coping pretty well now that she flies home from San Diego to San Francisco. I think you'll be ready to fly to Italy. I think it's going to be longer than 8 hours though. They have movies showing on screens at the back of the seats on those larger planes. You'll forget you're flying.

If you're going from Arizona, don't you make a stop in NY first? And they don't fly just over water. They fly over as much land as possible because the pilot has to check in with the control towers along the way. That's how they track the movement of each plane. So most likely you'll have a channel on the little TV in front of you where it shows where you're flying over. So you might fly over Canada, then to Greenland, Ireland/England, France, and then land in Italy.

Really? Cool!
Yeah. I don't know if we're flying out of Tucson. From Tucson we'd probably have to go to transfer several times, in like Dallas or Chicago or something, and then on to NY, and then on to something like France, then to Rome.

Most likely you'd make it to NY or maybe even Florida and then you get onto a 747 (?) to fly internationally.

747? I could have sworn they use bigger planes than that. Edit: Oh, wow, screw that. I was thinking 737. They're significantly smaller.
