OH YES, THAT WOULD BE ME!
I don't know if people know this, but about every zoo out there (well I hope every) has an adoption program. Now, I don't get to bring the lion home with me (darn it) but my money will help the zoo be kept up and I get to especially help the lions, I get a picture of the lion I adopted and I get to go to this meal thing at the end of summer or beginning of fall.
All I could do was 50 dollars, the lowest at my zoo, KC Zoo, but its still cool!
Oh, side note, at my zoo, there were 3 lions born in 2001, 2 brothers and a sister... there names
Mufasa
Simba
Nala
How lion king is that!

Lighty...there were three lion cubs born. What did you expect? And when it comes to naming animals or babies, they want the name to be self-prophesizing. They don't want a name a cub after an evil character. Dragon, congrats on your new adoption. I wished my zoo did that. Right now they give naming rights of animals to the highest bidder at my zoo.

That's sweet!
So, if the name is self-prophesizing, then is Mufasa gonna die? ;P

It's more like a meaning type thing. That's why some parents look for the meanings of the names and test if it sounds good instead of looking for the name then checking how it sounds. Mufasa is the last king of the Bagada People in Kenya.

and, hahaha, I saw something really disturbing at the zoo as well Its not G rated, I'm sorry... lol and something even more funny, is that when I came by that, a family was with me and the mom and dad saw it and their kid was in a stroller thing and they had bushes around, so they couldn't see it, and the kid wanted to get out, but the mom was like, NO NO, its nothing special, its just camels, nothing interesting about camels... I was laughing so hard. inside I mean...

Oh man! That's crazy! See! Why can't my zoo have action like or similar to what you've got? All the animals at my zoo just sleep.

hehe, it's ok. I'm just ranting because I was recently at the zoo and they did nothing. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for admission otherwise, I'd feel really jipped. Thanks for listening to me, Dragon.

I'm here anytime you need me! yeah, I was dissappointed that the tiger was sleeping, and then later, I could have gone back to see if she was doing anything, but my feet were hurting too much, so I was like, yeah, I'll go back in august when the 4 new lion cubs are out, she'll still be there...
Why didn't you have to pay, free ticket or something?

I would have liked to sit down and wait for something to happen, but we the zoo closes at 5:00. We didnt' have to pay because on the first Fridays of the month the zoos, museums and such around SF have free admission.
