I like Scottish accents, like Craig Ferguson who used to be on Drew Carey and now has a late night TV show.

Even fake ones are sexy like Jay Mohr. He does a great Scottish accent during one of his comedy routines.

Whoa, how did Irish accents get into this conversation? Come on! We were doing so well, sticking to a central theme in a post.

Because the countries are near eachother?
Anyway. Scottish accents always remind me of my aunt. She's been to Scotland a few times and she loves it there. She can do a pretty good accent too, just from being around people who speak the accents naturally for long periods of time.

Your aunt is so lucky! I would love to just hang around in Scotland long enough to pick up a slight accent.

My aunt is really cool. She used to run these tours in Ireland but now she's getting older, so she's just been vacationing a lot lately. She went to Scotland this past Spring, and in November, she's going to Swaziland to see her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. I'm jealous of her lol, she goes to all these cool places..

I have a preference! I don't want to go to a desert, or to the north pole, or witness any other climatic extremities.. I also don't want to go to poor countries in Africa just because not only will it make me feel bad for the people who live there and have to suffer and stuff, but it will make me feel bad about living in a wealthy country where having 3 meals a day is taken for granted and you aren't cool if you don't wear $60 shoes, even though $60 could build someone a whole house over there.. *Sigh.* I'd rather just give money to those people and the people that are helping them. That may seem selfish, but whatever. :\
Kay, I would go with her if I had the money and time! And the strength to leave.. lol. I'm going to visit her in New York, hopefully during Christmas or Spring Break, but maybe next summer vacation.. =P

Thanks, Kay. It's just a matter of time and me not chickening out about the airplane ride, now. One of the main reasons that I'm hesitant about going to visit Rachel is that I'd have to go on a plane.. and I've never been in a plane before. I'm scared to death of it. I don't want my first visit with her to start off with a bad trip, ya know? I think it would be cool if I already had the experience of being in a plane and not dying when I go to see Rachel. =P Then my trip will be completely awesome, instead of just mostly awesome. ^_^

You've never been on a plane before? Huh. Try going on a 9-hour plane ride just two weeks after you finished writing an 8-page paper about the biggest commercial plane crash in the US. THAT was not a fun trip.

Yuck. Just stop. LOL. The movie Castaway just added to my fear of planes. It's a good movie, but it makes me sick to watch the part where the plane is crashing.

I've never been on a plane either. I dont even have a passport yet. Its on its way though and in two months time I'll be on a plane on my way to Turkey. I'm scared!
Another thing though, why do you guys all *love* Scottish accents? Personally, sometimes I can hardly understand what they're saying. Northern accents are cool, but not as far north as Scotland LOL. I've never been to Scotland but it looks cool. Although I think it'd be too cold for me, England is bad enough.

I've only flown to go to Mexico. The only thing that really bothered me was the landing. You'll be fine Trish. Just remember why you're flying and keep your mind on that.

Hah, I never cared much about accents. Then I started talking to Steve and his friends on the phone, now I'm in love with a Scottish accent (because of Ted, not Steve ). At the same time, it's cute how Steve says things (like pudding haha). I guess accents are like a hairstyle or eye color, they're something we like for some superficial reason. *shrugs* *runs around singing to Brand New*

Yeah I guess everyone likes to hear a different accent every now and then. Personally if I hadnt known my friends Gav and Geordie I wouldnt think northern guys were hot. Now though, I'm like in love with them. Or I would be if I wasnt hung up on an Essex lad.

LOL. I'm not in love with them, I just think they're pretty hot. Sometimes, like with the HP movies, I get annoyed with them. But they can be sexy. There are some really annoying accents too, though. Southern accents really start getting to me after a few minutes of hearing them. Kris' accent isn't too bad but some people from Texas.. Augh! Lol.
