lol, I really don't think I have an accent until I hear people from up north say words differently (correctly) than I do.

I can't stand the New England accent. Or more specifically, the Boston accident. I went there to visit my sister, and I was twitching the whole time.
But on the other hand, everyone hated the way I talked too. *shrugs*

I love most accents, I find them sexy. I love th Irish accent! Oh, and don't be afraid of flying Trish, it's really not that bad. Just hope that you don't much turbulence because that can be a little freaky for your first time. I actually don't mind it now. I have flown quite a few times to Phoenix to visit my boyfriend's relatives. It's about a 6 hour plane ride form where I live...

Hah, I love making fun of the Rhode Island accent. We say "cah" instead of car and "pizzer" instead of pizza...plus, we run our words together so a sentence is shortened to one word...odd...lol...
I also think we're the only ones who call a sub a grinder and a water fountain a bubbler..hm...

HAHA. Dude. I wanna hear your accent!
My 'A's are nasally. Or so I hear. Like the 'a' in Chicago is somewhere between 'au' and 'aw'.

I don't really have an accent. I don't even say Eh a lot either even though I am Canadian. I wish I had an accent, accents are cool!

Desi, we call them bubblers too. We also call our instruction permits for driving a "temp". Like, "I'm going to get my temps today!" It doesn't make sense but we do that. =P I dunno why but I say certain words funny. At work I notice it more because I say the words more.. like shrimp, and sugar, and flat rack. I have to concentrate on saying them like a normal person lol, ugh. I'm guessing it's because of my braces and the wire in the roof of my mouth. *Shrugs.* I don't think there's anything too special about people from this area's accents. They may be different but no one has ever commented on me sounding funny. =P DUDE! Gem! New England accents drive me nuts! I can't even understand what they're saying most of the time.

Trish I totally know what you mean about the braces! Just before I got mine I had this applicance that was cemented to my teeth and it went over the roof of my mouth. I couldn't talk properly the whoel time I had it! It is so annoying. Now I just have the braces which aren't too bad.

Lol! Roxy, I had that too. An expander? Yep. Gave me a speech impediment. Rach! Lol, I have an accent? You don't have too much of one to me. You do sound a lil different but not so much.
